April 14 in Yekaterinburg will be the seventh conference of developers
DUMP . Traditionally, we publish reviews of sections from program directors.
Our first post about the section "Testing". A word to one of the organizers of the section - Anastasia Ronzhina.

')
This time, the program director of the Testing section is not a person, but a
community . The preparation of the section began in the autumn of 2016. For example, the first version of the
game dev report was made at a
meeting of the testers community back in November. Now, after a series of runs, this is already a new report.
In addition, in preparation for the DUMP, we conducted a retrospective of the previous section at a community meeting and found relevant topics for conversation.
What will the section be about?
Section - about returning to the sources: about how to get bugs, and how to think with your head :)

Over the past year, 9,000,000,000 bugs were created in the world, 100,000,000,000 lines of code were written and 1 product was released without a single bug. I will open the section with a story about what the community lived in the first year of its existence, and what plans we have for the next year.
Olga Nazina from
Testbase.ru will tell you how to masterfully solve a problem that each of us meets regularly: how to “sell” a bug to a developer and does he need to sell something?
Andrey Satarin (
Yandex ) will tell about the challenges that the development of distributed systems throws to testers, the existing limitations and their impact on functionality.

Errors are not only developers, but also testers.
Anna Bandura ,
Vitaly Roshchupkin ,
Anton Rychkov ,
Dmitry Yakin from
SKB Kontur will share combat stories about how they mowed themselves, while they were looking for shoals of others.

And after that,
Masha Glukhova (
Targem Games ) will open the veil of secrecy over Gamedev and compare the testing of games and software. And even show how to check the bugs on the example of the space MMO-action Star Conflict.

We will end the section with three stories from
Maxim Zakharov ,
Elena Zyryanova and
Hilaria Tarasova about how to achieve the same goal differently and how to turn routine into growth. How testing proceeds smoothly into analytics, design and development.
There should be a motivating text here, but we did not come up with it, so just waiting for you on April 14 at the
DUMP . Come, it will be interesting.
