Certificates from StartCom and WoSign finally turned into a pumpkin

These organizations are known for launching their certificates free of charge before the launch of Let's Encrypt. And everything was fine until recently: October 21, 2016. All certificates issued after this date were obviously invalid. But released before this date worked fine. This affected all certificates, even paid ones (including Extended Validation):

But it did not last long.

Chrome since version 57 has finally turned all issued certificates into a pumpkin. The rest of browsers certificates issued before October 21, 2016 are still supported. The news is sad, considering that these were the cheapest wildcard certificates.

Support promises to reissue the root certificate within 3-4 months. (although it promises already half a year).
