Vkontakte made another breakthrough. For a short time, all users of the social network received moderator rights.
Vkontakte once again decided to please all of its users, opening the veil of secrecy: each of the users got the opportunity to see it through the eyes of admins. The bug was fixed for a fairly quick time, but many still had questions. Especially about the opportunity to see hidden photos of users.
Some good people managed to record videos with the capabilities that the moderators have (the system did not allow to read messages or view hidden photos due to an access error, but real moderators have such access, apparently).
I’m not sure if the updated avka on Pavel Durov’s page is related to these events. Most likely, Pasha decided to troll his receivers, who, as always, have adjusted: ')
At about the same time, an entry from the official community of the Vkontakte Team appeared:
From what is known for sure:
Extended access to user profile:
Punishment opportunities for disobedient communities:
Ban on the pattern:
Access to bug reports:
Some users claim that there is an opportunity to see the history of each user's requests (the screen has not been verified):
I also saw screenshots showing the mechanism of recognizing pornographic images on avatars, but did not manage to save it, but the administration of the community somehow removed it. I can't confirm whether it is real or not.
In any case, the next couple of days we will see more than one bike about what the representatives of the Vkontakte administration actually see. But the most interesting thing is who still has access to private photos of users, and are the requests that you send to VC, visible to any onlooker who are in the VC moderators team, really accessible?
It is worth noting that VC likes to please its users. I have already described several vulnerabilities on Vkontakte several times that help me to set up more effective advertising here and here . And my colleague even decided to post a detailed guide on how to get free clicks from VK . Quite recently, the VC administration forgot to extend the domain that stores most of the users' photos, in connection with which these same photos turned out to be inaccessible for several days, while the administration convulsively reconnected the new domain. Or, once, VC added to the account of each user of the advertising cabinet an amount equal to its costs in the entire history of working with VC.
But I have never seen such a fun and large-scale pack-up.
UPDATE: If you send a screen with some photos of this facsitory to your private messages, the picture will be removed within a few seconds. Proof:
