Hackathon of Kaspersky Lab: save the gas oil processing plant from hackers
To study the state of industrial systems, Kaspersky Lab security experts use an approach called Industrial DPI (Deep Packet Inspection), which implies a detailed analysis of technological processes. In other words, the operation of controllers for the automated process control systems is investigated at the application level, including batch content and behavioral analysis of traffic based on ML-models. We offer everyone to try their hand at Industrial DPI. Identify anomalies in the already allocated OT signals using machine learning techniques and prevent attacks before the attackers make their move!
We are launching a large-scale team hackathon on industrial security. In the framework of the online stage, which starts in March, we suggest you analyze the finished (anonymized) datasets from the real object - the units for heating and discharge of gas oil at the refinery. With the help of machine learning technologies you have to identify deviations in time series close to the real ones, and build a predictive model. The 30 best teams will be held in the internal finals, which will be held in April at our headquarters in Moscow. The finalist teams will face new challenges and will be able to test their models on a physical layout. We will reward all the finalists, and the winning team will receive a cash prize of 200,000 rubles.
