Push notifications in browsers and work with object tracks

This article describes how to work with PUSH notifications about object events in browsers and how VIALATM services work with object tracks. The following publications will be devoted to reviews of IOT services.

Push notifications in browsers

In addition to the possibility of receiving notifications about object events in mobile applications (on Android and IOS platforms), the ability to receive PUSH notifications in browsers has been implemented. The figure above, in the lower right corner, shows examples of notifications in the Chrome browser. After logging in to the web client through a browser, you are asked to allow notifications from the service. When you confirm the request for notifications, you will be able to receive them when working with the service on the desktop and notebook computers. It is important to keep in mind:

Work with tracks and tracks objects

Under the track in the service refers to the segment within which the object was in constant motion. The route may include intervals during which the object was in a state of standing / stopping. To open a request for a track list or build a track, use the icon in the left column.

At the top of the panel, select an object from the current group of objects. Below is the time interval. The buttons below are used as follows:

  1. Display of the route for a specified time interval.
  2. Displays a list of tracks for a specified time interval.
  3. Displays the latest available tracks of the object.
  4. Displays a list of sessions for a specified time interval.
  5. Displays the latest available object sessions.

Session display buttons appear only for those types of objects that allow START / STOP events. When you select the display of tracks (or sessions) on the screen displays a panel with a list of tracks. When you click on a track, it is displayed on the map. At the top of the panel is combox. With it, you can quickly display a list of tracks for another object, while it is consistent with the time interval for which the original list was formed. When the track (track) is displayed on the map, additional buttons appear.

Using the first button, you can display an additional action menu with the current track:

Using the button below you can play the track on the map. Currently, the track playback consists in sequential display of green markers on the current track, but in the future the track playback functionality will be significantly extended. Finally, the last button (“3”) simply closes the track (erases it from the card).
