It’s convenient to use this service, for example, when the customer has not yet received the printed version of the book he ordered: in this case, he can get full access to its contents through the Amazon website. Thus, there is a clear difference between Amazon technology and Google Book Search : the patent states that the system is based on the “physical possession of the book”.
