“Runner”, “Rambler” and “Yandex” rated the contextual advertising market

Recently, many different experts are trying to assess the contextual advertising market. In order to finally clarify the figures, three companies gave their assessment of the market.

According to the analytical services of Runner, Rambler and Yandex, the turnover of the contextual advertising market in 2006 was $ 110 million. Compared with 2005 (turnover - $ 45), this market has grown almost two and a half times.
According to ACAR, the turnover of display advertising in 2006 was $ 100 million, showing an increase of 1.6 times compared with 2005. Thus, for the first time in the history of the Internet in Russia, contextual advertising not only in terms of growth rates, but also in absolute terms overtook the media, and the market as a whole overcame the $ 200 million mark
