Salaries of "top" IT companies again hit the top

A study by the recruiting agency GlobalCareer shows that the salaries of top managers in IT companies remain among the highest in comparison with other industries. The researchers analyzed compensation packages for top managers and senior executives in the 60 largest Moscow companies from the IT and telecommunications sectors.

They considered companies with an annual turnover of at least 500 million rubles, both with headquarters in Russia and representative offices of foreign companies (there were 13% of those surveyed).
')
The total amount of remuneration of the general director for one month is 1.14-2.66 million rubles. This is due to the size of the annual bonus. : it averages 90% of annual income. In addition to the size of the business, the main factors affecting the amount of compensation for the CEO, GlobalCareer experts include the number of managed divisions.
Executive directors' salaries range from 450,000 to 1 million rubles per month, and the annual bonus is on average 40% of the fixed payments per year. The CIO earns an average of 400,000 to 900,000 rubles a month, and its annual bonus averages 70% of the basic salary.
Salaries in the amount of 1 million rubles are comparable to the income of the vice-presidents of companies in the oil and gas industry. In the automotive industry, such salaries are held by some managers of large corporations, but this is still not a common phenomenon in this industry, Yury Kuzmenko, director for work with key clients of Ancor FinTech, told Vedomosti.

The GlobalCareer data looks plausible, says Mark Rozin, managing partner of Ecopsy Consulting. The salary range of a manager from 600,000 to 1,400,000 rubles is usually typical for businesses with revenues of $ 50–200 million. To work with IT technologies, it’s not just a lot to know, it’s about the uniqueness of competencies - there are fewer such specialists, since they are more difficult to grow. For the post of head of a company engaged in wholesale sales, there are many more candidates on the market than for managing an IT company, he added.
