we have already written , the degree of localization of domestic server products of the mass segment is more pronounced in the provision of various types of services, rather than in the production of components. Components for servers are traditionally made in China, to which brand they would not belong. One Russian company had an attempt to create a fully
domestic platform , but the product turned out to be a niche, as the platform had redundant characteristics for the classic use of servers.
But here, at the beginning of the year, we received a sample of a server 2-processor motherboard designed and manufactured in Russia. This model aroused interest primarily due to the fact that the characteristics and cost are fully suitable for mass use. This article is dedicated to the review and testing of the first Russian motherboard Rikor R-BD-E5R-V4-16.EA.

Testing
For testing, we collected two similar platforms based on Rikor and Supermicro.

The results of processor tests differ markedly. Such a decrease in the performance of the Rikor platform is most likely due to the fact that the manufacturer artificially lowered the characteristics in favor of reliability with stability.

The results of testing the performance of the domestic platform in rendering and archiving have a similar lag.
Conclusion
The system based on Rikor R-BD-E5R-V4-16.EA, despite the lag in benchmarks, showed high stability and reliability with monthly load tests of all subsystems. The IPMI interface of the motherboard is classic from Intel, such can be seen in Asus motherboards, for example. BIOS for the fall is planned domestic. Development and production of the motherboard (of course, with the exception of the components), I repeat, we have it in Russia.
In addition to the motherboard, the 2U chassis completely made in Russia came to us for tests. Everything (except BP), up to the hot-swap baskets, is produced in our country. Backplanes too. Since The corpus was a very, very exemplary model, many complaints appeared on it, but the shortcomings were already corrected at the time of this writing. Therefore, the review of the body will be a little later.
