Do you know that more than 700 thousand people have already been registered at Habrahabr? But only every ninth of them has a higher status than Read-only.
Research methodology
About 800 pages of Habrahabra user statistics from 2006 to 2017 were processed for the study. Initially, the page was called “People” and was located at
habrahabr.ru/people , later it was renamed to “Users” and changed the URL to
habrahabr.ru/users .
For the information provided, I express my gratitude to the

As can be seen from the graph, the number of users began to grow sharply at the end of 2011, when free registration was opened. However, after registration, the user received (and still receives) not a full account, but “Read-only”.
In fact, users after registration, as a rule, remained in “read only” status. The following graph clearly shows the number of accounts minus "Read-only".

It can be seen that the number of other accounts after opening free registration by 2014 has even decreased slightly. Until 2016, there was a slight increase. In mid-2016, the schedule went up sharply, but then the administration of "Habrakhabr" for some reason removed the statistics on the number of Read-only accounts, making further studies in this direction impossible.
Boys and girls
Habrahabr also provides statistics on the number of men and women. The obtained data was presented in the form of a diagram.

Thus, more than 92% of users of "Habrakhabr" are men. It is curious that before the opening of free registration in 2011, the percentage of women was slightly higher - about 12%.
Countries of the world
The "Habrahabr" also provides information on the number of users from different countries. For some unknown reason, these statistics stopped being updated in the spring of 2012.

As of the beginning of 2012, the majority are residents of Russia (73%), Ukraine (17%) and Belarus (4%). The rest of the country accounts for less than 6% of accounts. Interestingly, the percentage of Ukrainian users is gradually increasing: in the middle of 2006, users from Ukraine were less than 8%.
