Technotrack: from college to leading IT-companies

Tehnotrek is one of our educational projects, created for undergraduate and graduate students of MIPT, it is a subdivision of the Center for IT Education Development. The main task of Technotrack - in two years to turn students from "semi-finished products", which, after obtaining a diploma, need to be refined with a file in the first workplace, into ready-made young professionals. Now comes the fourth set of students, and registration for the entrance test ends on the morning of February 11, 2017.

There is a stereotype that in MIPT they teach only physics. This is not true: they are well aware that mobile development and the web will be relevant for many more years, and that is why these disciplines are taught in Technotrack. Our students learn all aspects of creating mobile applications and web development.

Today, training in Technotrak is based on a two-year program "System Architect". Practitioners from our company teach MIPT students the basics of web development, Java, interface design, Android development, application testing methodologies, information security and other disciplines. Also in Tehnotrek there are open courses on C ++, DBMS in high-load systems, development on Android. Registration is open to all MIPT students.

Last year we have two important innovations. First, we launched 6 open courses (two of them this spring and another 4 - this fall). Secondly, we moved the development course on iOS to our other Technopark project, and in Tehnotrek we focused on development for Android.

This spring, we offer students enrollment for both the two-year program and the 4 semester courses :

• DBMS in high load projects;
• Android application development;
• Introduction to industrial programming and data structures. Part II, C ++;
• Data processing on the command line.

Mainly students of 3-4 courses come to Technotrak. A year and a half, when the first recruitment took place, none of the students still really knew what the project was. Now we are already studying three streams, and the competition for the fourth set reaches 6 people per place (most applications come in early February, at the end of the session and winter holidays). Some of the students of Technotrack are already interning at the Mail.Ru Group.
