Not so long ago I published a little note about a small program that I developed for a friend. To my surprise, she received good reviews and "came to court" to some "habrovchanam."

I thought about it and decided to share links to my other "little ones", small developments published by open source. Number # 2 will be a small joke program that turns a jpeg image into Excel spreadsheet;)

The idea of ​​this joke program was born in the process of a "beer party" with fellow programmers. We are talking about non-standard image storage formats; After discussing the idea of ​​storing an image (or any “binary”) in binary format in the form of a sheet of paper printed on a laser or inkjet printer, followed by scanning and recognition, I had the idea of ​​using the background color of the Excel spreadsheet cells.

It is said - done, the implementation took a little more time than the “googling” of working with MS Excel. The program is not optimized, it works quite slowly (because it draws pixel by pixel), it processes only jpeg format. I am sure that the craftsmen who are experts in working with MS Excel will be able to speed it up at times (but before you do this, think whether it is necessary? After all, the meaning and benefit of this program is almost zero!).
