At the end of this difficult year, our research service gathered twenty of the most popular programming languages ββon hh.ru. For each language, the dynamics for the year were calculated separately. And on the first five at the same time we looked at the changes over 5 years.
What happened: PHP this year was the most sought after by employers, taking away the palm from Java. Over the year both have grown, but PHP has grown stronger. Go and Swift "shot" by 161% and 100%, respectively, although the leaders in the number of vacancies are still far away. But Python noticeably lost ground, immediately by 32%.
If we compare it with the
TIOBE index, it is immediately noticeable that PHP is noticeably higher in our country, and Visual Basic, for example, is much lower. Go jerked both here and there, but Objective-C is at the top of growth among TIOBE, while in our country it fell by 9%. With them, by the way, fell the hardest of all, but here, on the contrary, it grew by 46%.

And where is 1C, you ask? The tablet was not included, but if you're interested, then everything is not bad: 2015 - 9 473, 2016 - 13 735. Growth: 45%. In absolute numbers - the most popular language. This is the dynamics of the first five over the past 5 years in absolute terms of the number of vacancies. Hardest hit was the last crisis in the PHP segment, although this year the demand for these specialists has fully recovered.
The same five, only the dynamics in percent. In five years, JavaScript has grown the most.
