Hi, Habr! Three years ago, we made a strategic decision to participate in the development of a
go-lang-idea-plugin , an open-source project aimed at creating an IntelliJ-plugin for Go. During these three years, our contribution (in the amount of about 3000 commits) helped to completely rewrite the plugin, making it more stable, expandable and functional.
Last year we started counting the number of unique users of the plugin. Over the year, it has doubled and now stands at 30,000 active users per month. This, as well as a large number of users waiting for IntelliJ IDEA Go IDE from us, together convinced us to finally fork the
go-lang-idea-plugin and create our own Go IDE.
Today we are pleased to present to your attention
Gogland , the new Go IDE and the latest addition to the IDE family based on the IntelliJ platform! Although Gogland is in active development, today we are starting “closed” testing. This means that you have a chance to be the first to try out Gogland.
