Expansion of functionality of the mobile version and other changes on Habré and Giktatimes

We have always tried, we will try and we will try to pay attention to the feedback that our users give regarding our products. True, this does not happen so often - usually these are “piece” ideas sent through the feedback form. But not so long ago, the limonte user created the publication “Dear Habr, I want you to better hear your usernames”, in which you called on all habrowsers to take part in the collective launching of ideas for improving Habr. Could not pass by this publication, therefore under a cat we share the first results of interaction.

The first few changes concerned the mobile version of Habr and Giktayms. Initially, we planned to leave it as a “reader”, but with the growing share of mobile users, it became clear that we need to add the ability to interact with the content. It looks like a little bit more and a mobile version will catch up with the functions of the desktop version, but for now it has features:

• Vote for posting;
• Vote for comments;
• Add comments to posts.

Changes in the editor of publications

• There is a new tag that can very seriously pump your posts. Speech about the universal oembed tag, in which you can insert both videos from YouTube and Vimeo, as well as any third-party custom code - for example, inserts from open, JSfidle and other resources (more than 1800 in total).

• On the page for creating and editing publications, the preview mechanics has been changed - now there are 2 modes:
  
  - quick preview - located in the adjacent tab and shows only the text of the article;
  - full preview - opens the full version of the article with the title, hubs and tags.
  
  
  

Other changes

• Read & Comment-accounts have the opportunity to comment on publications that are not more than 10 days (previously this limit was 3 days);
• The restriction on the use of html tags in comments has been removed - now all users (including those with negative karma) can use tags in comments;
• Removed custom hotkeys to switch pagination on tape pages ("Alt + ←" and "Alt + →");
• New hubs, both on Habré ( Elixir / Phoenix , Development for AR and VR and others) and on Geektimes (for example, Urbanism ) - go to the "Hubs" section on each of the projects and update your thematic subscription, you will surely find something new. There you can offer new hubs;
• Megaposts are now available for viewing in the mobile application.

In addition to the changes made to the mobile version, we have big plans for updating it, which are now being actively discussed within the company; maybe after a while we will completely update it.
