91% of Japanese youth aged 20-30 use the Internet actively. Over half of the Japanese are online at least occasionally, a third - have never been, and does not want to get there. Such data was published by the newspaper Yomiuri, conducting a survey of 3,000 citizens.
79.9% of Japanese go online from home computers, 39.3% from workers, 30.8% use mobile devices. At the same time, three-quarters of respondents (74.2%) believe that the Internet in one way or another changed their lives for the better, because there appeared access to various information (answer 62.1%) and the ability to quickly find the necessary information (59.7% ). 23.8% noted an increase in their production efficiency, almost as many said that it became easier to shop.
58.9% of respondents include cybercrime, 55.6% of information leaks, and 54.8% of a large number of unnecessary materials among the “dark” sides of online.
