According to our (and not only) observations, the information security industry is sorely lacking professionals. This is largely due to the fact that people do not always understand the whole range of tasks that security personnel have to solve and simply do not consider the opportunity to look for themselves in this area.
Therefore, our department of educational initiatives of Kaspersky Academy decided to organize an international competition
Talent Lab , the purpose of which is to involve as many young specialists from different fields as possible to solve cybersecurity problems. From whitehats and mobile app developers to communications, marketing and design.

')
Our leading experts formulated interesting problems solving specific information security problems. Moreover, the tasks are both purely technical, relating, for example, to the security of the Internet of things and cyber-physical systems, and related to the solution of related problems - web content analysis or user training on the basics of cybersecurity. A complete list of tasks can be found on the competition website.
To participate, you need to select a category by December 15 and submit a corresponding application on the website, submit a draft of your solution to the problem by January 15, 2017, and have time to finalize your project by February 10. After that, the jury will select the 50 most interesting decisions that will participate in the final competition. Our jury is international, so the decision must be written in English. Moreover, at this stage all participants who reach the final will be able to receive professional feedback from our experts, who initially formulated the task.
All finalists will go to Prague, where they will be able to present their work in person. The author of the best technical solution (Security Talent nomination) will have the opportunity to visit the
Kaspersky Security Analyst Summit , which will be held in April 2017 on St. Maarten Island in the Caribbean. The winner in the nomination Creativity Talent will get tickets for the festival “
Cannes Lions 2017 ” with the possibility of visiting the festival academy. And the author of the most innovative solution (Top Talent) will receive an educational grant in the amount of 10 thousand US dollars for further education.
In addition, all registered Talent Lab participants will receive a discount on study abroad programs from the general partner of the competition, the
EF Education First company. And the finalists also have 30 days of free access to the English Live English online school, which will improve their conversational English for the trip to Prague (if there is a need). The company will also select a winner in the special category Entrepreneural Talent and send it to a weekly language internship.
