Twitter began to blacklist spammers

You all know how unpleasant it becomes the object of attention of spammers. On Twitter, the problem of spammers is so acute that it was decided to blacklist those who constantly send spam to members of the community. Already there is an unofficial site Twitter Blacklist, which lists the names of 329 spammers seen on Twitter (the screenshot is presented below). This site is not officially related to Twitter and is created on a voluntary basis.

But now Twitter has its own blacklist. It is not yet clear how a particular user gets there, possibly in the case when a certain number of users block it. Jesse Stay writes:
Until today, Twitter could have attributed a certain user to the number of spammers, and without notifying the user himself. Such users could follow the updates of others, but no one could read the updates on their pages, and they, in fact, might not have known what they were listed.
Now Twitter simply blocks the page of those users who are considered spammers, and at the same time notifies them about it. Here’s what the Twitter development mailing list says:
We considered the problem of spam a priority, and in the future we will delete the accounts of those who violate the terms of use of the service, and not block them, as we did before.
