The news about the upcoming transition from Windows to Linux came this time from Sweden. For security reasons, the Swedish Royal Armed Forces decided to transfer servers from Windows NT to Linux. RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) is selected as the distribution kit for which the transition will be made.
The first will be translated server FMLOG (IT-divisions of the Royal Armed Forces of Sweden), and after the transition FMLOG already the forces of this unit will be translated other parts. In the near future, about 200 servers used by the FMLOG will be transferred under the control of RHEL4.
