The digest of interesting materials for the mobile # 179 developer (November 7-13)

This week is a story about libGDX, mobile forms, Firebase, UI, CPI from myTarget, pre-holiday analytics from Nanigans and much more.

Not your problem

You are a dedicated game developer. You want to create and release an amazing game so that the world will know about it. It is difficult, much more difficult than, say, to write a book. The game is an alchemical mixture of art, personal taste, strict mathematics, logistics and design. Very few can create a game alone, while it’s easy to distract, too easy. Or even worse - do what you do not need.

Raw but important data like phone numbers or credit cards is exactly what users most often enter in our applications. And with this there is a huge problem. Recheck 16 digits of your Mastercard or 11 digits of a phone number is a hell for any user. Naturally, developers have to solve this problem, on whose behalf I am writing this post.

We draw, code under libGDX and other small joys from the life of an indi-developer

In this topic, I would like to share my impressions of the libGDX game engine, talk about the everyday life of an ordinary indie developer, and lift the veil of secrets over the game that I have been doing the past few months in my office-free time. I hope these notes will be useful for those who are just starting to do something with libGDX or for those who choose the engine for the ā€œgame of their dreams.ā€
