Sleepless nights, a few cups of coffee every morning, stacks of pizza boxes and a pyramid of empty cans of power engineers - this is how the life of BI.ZONE developers for the last few months has looked. No one felt sorry for himself to prepare the most interesting event held at the international conference on cyber security ZERONIGHTS 2016 - the competition Capture the Flag (CTF) from BI.ZONE.

Registration opened on the night of November 1, and literally immediately it became clear that the developers did not try in vain. Before the competition even more than two weeks, but in the first few hours applications were received from many players from around the world. The battle promises to be interesting.

Who are we?

BI.ZONE company is a visionary of the Russian information security market. The company's activities to protect the assets and reputation of business on the Internet are based on computer forensics, cyber intelligence and constant monitoring of information flows in public and shadow segments of cyberspace. BI.ZONE clients are the largest financial institutions and corporations in Russia.

Why do we do this?

The core of the cybersecurity industry are qualified professionals. In Russia, this area is only gaining momentum, and the need for frames is growing exponentially. Our primary tasks are the popularization of competitions of this format in Russia, as well as the search for promising and talented guys. We want the practical security community to appreciate our work.

In the past, the organizers of the CTFzone themselves participated in CTF competitions around the world, and now they are ready to share their experience with you! The usefulness of CTF for specialists in the field of information security is indisputable, you can not only test your skills and intelligence in the company of colleagues and friends, but also compete with specialists from other countries. We invite you to use this chance!

What do we have to do?

CTFzone is designed for individual participation and is held in the format Jeopardy. The battle will begin on November 17 at 00.01. And on November 18, at exactly 4 pm, access to the tasks will be closed. All tasks will be available online, and everyone will be able to take part in the competition from anywhere in the world.
Participants are waiting for five levels of difficulty. Access to each new level will be opened as you progress through the previous one. Players will have to try their hand in five different directions:

• Forensics
• Reverse
• WEB
• Osint
• Misc

Winners will be determined by the number of points scored. In case of equality of points, the winner is the one who scored them faster.

The first five places are awarded serious cash prizes. The prize fund is distributed according to the following scenario:

• 1st place - 150 000 rubles
• 2nd place - 75 000 rubles
• 3rd place - 25 000 rubles
• 4 place - 15 000 rubles
• 5 place - 10 000 rubles

In addition, valuable prizes will receive the top 10 participants who attended the competition personally. For all participants CTFzone at the conference will be equipped with a separate room with wired internet access. Comfortably seated, players can fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of competition.

Individual achievements of players during the competition will also be encouraged.

Everything is allowed?

We encourage players to use all their skills and imagination when performing tasks. However, there are several rules for the violation of which the organizers have the right to disqualify participants.

It is strictly forbidden to:

• Attack the infrastructure of the organizers;
• Generate a large amount of traffic (DDoS);
• To conduct attacks on computers of the jury and other participants;
• Share flags with other members.
