Ubuntu + Linspire

As it became known from the press releases of companies involved in the release and support of two Debian clones Canonical Ltd (Ubuntu distribution) and Linspire (Linspire distribution (ex-Lindows)), an agreement was signed on transferring Linspire / Freespire to the Ubuntu repositories as parent, instead of the previously used repositories of Debian.
The reverse side of the contract will be the start of using the Linspire Click`N`Run software in Ubuntu.
The first Ubuntu distribution on which the new Linspire will be based will be Ubuntu 7.04 LTS, which will be released in April of this year.

Jan Murdoch (founder of Debian) expressed his joy at the similar arrangement of Canonical and Linspire.
