The growth of Internet advertising will continue, but the pace will slow down over the next three years (from 2008 to 2011). The forecast for rising online advertising costs has been prepared by eMarketer and is based on studies prepared by several companies.
Next year, the cost of online advertising will grow by 29% (forecast). In 2011, costs will amount to 42 billion dollars - this is 12% of the volume in 2010.
Advertising on search portals (search advertising) will grow slightly faster compared to the online advertising market as a whole. At the same time, advertising on the web video and on mobile devices will grow threefold over this period.
')
Despite all the "hype" around social networks, advertising in networks by 2011 will be only 6% of the total cost of advertising on the Internet.
Internet advertising now accounts for 9.3 percent of all advertising costs in the United States, in 2011 this percentage will increase to 13.3%. It is not known whether these forecasts take into account the risk of a significant reduction in the growth rate of the US economy.
