“Not even a year has passed!” - those who were at the previous meeting of Rambler.Android will say, but such irony will not be very appropriate, because the year has passed, and our company resumes holding open meetings of Android developers, the intervals between which will be further will be significantly shorter.

During this time, much has happened, both within Rambler & Co, and throughout the world of mobile development. And our team has gained invaluable experience, which it wishes to share with all those who are not indifferent to creating fast and beautiful Android applications.

How we measure our Android projects

Edward Sergeev (Rambler & Co) will talk about how to develop a unified approach to metrics, which becomes necessary when there is at least one truly large-scale project in the company. This will allow not only to monitor its development over time, but also to compare these indicators in the future with other projects.

Understanding the Coordinator Layout

Together with Sergei Solodovnikov (Rambler & Co), we will look at how the Coordinator Layout is designed and what opportunities it provides - a previously unfamiliar to many markup element that is increasingly common in applications in connection with the transition to Material Design.

Test RxJava

Victoria Suleimanova (Rambler & Co) will share her RxJava testing experience. Over the past year, reactive programming has firmly established itself in the world of Android development, but everyone who starts to use it, sooner or later the question arises: how to cover this code with tests? And we have an answer to it.

Feature-toggles
