Moscow part of the hackathon TADHack: tomorrow

Last week of preparation for any major event is very, very painful. Bags of extenders from Auchan, a stern admin with WiFi for 200 people, bulk order of pizzas, a video message from Shuttleworth and many other organizational issues. But as Illidan said, now we are ready! Registration is still open and I will be very glad to see you on this first hackathon in Russia, which will be held simultaneously in dozens of cities around the world. TADHack will gather more than 2,000 developers, there will be a video broadcast between platforms, a sea of ​​fan, pizza from Papa John's and cool prizes. Join now!

The idea to bring TADHack to Moscow visited us last year, when we sponsored a mini-TADHack in Paris . The party then came out colorful:



TADHack, curiously, was not created by an event agency with the goal of making money, but by an expert from the telecom industry who has been working with the most advanced technologies at the junction of telecom, web and mobile development for many years. Alan gives the impression of an italian Santa Claus: a bulky gray beard, a constant ho-ho-ho, a laptop with an ubunta and a scattering of custom simok. A very charismatic companion and a good organizer: for several years he alone did TADHack, every year attracts more and more sponsors, covers what is happening in the press and really helps developers use the latest advances in realtime communications.

The highlight of the hackathon: it conditionally starts simultaneously in dozens of countries with a cross-broadcast between the sites! Now the site has been dismantled, but by tomorrow morning two plasmas will broadcast colleagues from London and Berlin, and developers from other countries will be able to watch how we drink vodka and in 24 hours turn ideas into working prototypes.



The distribution of prizes is also curious. On Sunday, when the teams start performing on the stage and show their creations, I will simultaneously translate it into English. And everything will be recorded in the general table of all speeches. When the guys finish speaking, our jury will distribute local prizes from Voximplant, NUMA, MSU Business Incubator. And we go home.

After which the fun begins. When all over the world will complete the performances of all teams, the organizers will take the table, will stock Red Bull and watch performances from all over the world that declared their nomination all night long. We have a prize fund, and we will distribute it among teams. On Monday, the sleepy hackathon members will open the tadhack.com website and see a list of winners in all countries! The money has already been collected from Alan, and will be transferred to the winners by bank transfer.

This year, 9 companies have invested in the prize fund, including us. The list of provided APIs can be found here . Despite the fact that the name of the hackathon translates as "Telecom Application Development Hackathon", guests can create any applications. Using the API of one or more sponsors increases the chances of getting a cash prize from them, but the jury can award a local prize at its discretion: for an interesting idea, implementation, or presentation.
