PHP FIG 3.0 - The PHP-FIG group supported a change in the structure and processes called FIG 3.0. Read more about the changes here . Members must confirm their membership by the end of the month. Only representatives of Stash and Aura expressed their desire to leave the group.
Hacktoberfest 2016 - DigitalOcean and GitHub announced a campaign to support open source projects. Anyone who registers and makes 4 pull requests before October 31 will receive a T-shirt.
