Strive to learn about all the stages of the design and manufacture of chips from idea to factory? Do you want to build a prototype of your own system on a chip using FPGA chips? Interested in microcontroller programming and real-time operating systems? Then come to the seminars that were jointly organized by American, Russian and Ukrainian companies and universities. These seminars will be held in Moscow, Zelenograd, St. Petersburg, Kiev and Alma-Ata in the second half of October and the first half of November:
- Nanometer ASIC is a two-day workshop describing all stages of chip design and production: specification creation, digital logic description in Verilog and VHDL hardware description languages at the register transfer level, logic synthesis, placement and tracing, photomask creation and chip manufacturing at the factory. Charles Danchek, the teacher of this course at the University of California Santa Cruz Extension in Silicon Valley, comes to California to hold these seminars from California. In Moscow, seminars are held under the auspices of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (FIEP) of RUSNANO and its subsidiary, eNANO.
')
- MIPSfpga - device-on-chip systems, protocols inside the chip and outside the chip, integration of the processor core with memory and I / O devices, observation of the operation of the cache and the conveyor of an industrial processor on the FPGA board. Seminars are held under the auspices of the British company Imagination Technologies, known as the developer of the PowerVR graphics processor inside the Apple iPhone.
- Connected MCU - an introduction to the use of microcontrollers, organization of parallelism on a single processor, the use of interrupts, timers, state machines implemented in software, and finally - an introduction to RTOS and laboratory work using the FreeRTOS operating system. Workshop materials prepared by Professor Alexander Dean from the University of North Carolina in collaboration with Imagination and Microchip Technology.
