Here is a partial list:
1. Bluetooth can ONLY be used to connect a headset. Everything.
2. There is no file browser. To organize the data (if this happens) there must be a corresponding application.
3. The camera is a simple application with ONE button: shutter. Photos look good on the phone itself, but when viewed on a computer monitor, nothing special, especially macro shots.
4. SIM-card is almost impossible to remove. It will be necessary to try better.
5. The web browser is slow even through WLAN. Even simple OneList web applications open for 20 seconds. via WLAN. On websites, you cannot select, cut, copy or paste text, pictures can not be saved either. The only pleasant moment is the presence of tabs, which, however, are frozen, I simultaneously opened Engadget and YouTube in two tabs at the same time. This is also the only application in which you can use a horizontal keyboard (landscape).
6. The keyboard sucks. The staff said it would be simpler when the iPhone “recognizes” me, but still, this is not the device that can be conveniently used with one hand, even less convenient when trying to work without looking.
7. In the e-mail you can send only one photo at a time.
8. There are no customizable ringtones (not yet, as we were told), the sound signals also do not change.
9. Built-in ringtones are incredibly dumb.
10. The only thing you can change, not counting the dumb ringtones, is the background image that you see only when you need to remove the lock, or when you are called.
11. The function of “capturing images” or changing the scale of displaying any content with two fingers is, of course, fun, but absolutely impractical. In addition, this operation can be performed exclusively with two hands.
12. There is no built-in document viewer or editor. You can not save documents for viewing, they can only be viewed as attachments to e-mail messages.
13. Visual voice mail slows down and responds as if you included rewind in regular voice mail. The only advantage is for those who receive so many voice messages every day that they need to sort them by importance.
14. NO ONE game.
15. No voice dialing.
16. There is no speed dialing (it can be implemented using the “quick list”, but access to this list is not as fast as holding one key on a regular keyboard).
17. No video support.
18. No support for MMS.
19. For $ 500. You still get the capacity less than 4GB, and for $ 600 - less than 8GB.
20. To explore all the menus that do not have any expansion options, it will take only about 2 hours. You can, however, go in search of new web applications that are slow to load and do not work as smoothly as "native" applications.
It seems that this device is aimed at the average consumer, who has the means to purchase such a flashy device, however, it lacks support for so many basic functions that it can hardly be considered a success in the field of mass devices. This phone allows an advanced user to opt out of MMS and use e-mail for sending images, but it does not have many other functions familiar to an advanced user. And all this is crowned with a huge price tag.
The device, of course, pretty, and Americans will buy it because of the simple user interface, but those who are familiar with other operating systems will be shocked. This phone must be unlocked and become FULLY open to find a more efficient use of its multi-touch system. Or he needs urgent processing of each function through iTunes.
