Modified Mac mini delivers news in the old fashioned way.
In our time, we have seen many modifications of the Mac mini computer, but this one stands in a row with the best of them.
Scott Walker , assistant editor of Birmingham News, found a truly unique use for his Mac. With the help of an old machine for selling newspapers bought on eBay, a 17-inch LG LCD monitor, special lighting, a Mac mini computer and the AppleScript language, he created a digital news stand showing the news flow from the main pages of online publications right in his living room. At the same time it looks all very cool.
Every morning, iCal turns on the computer and launches AppleScript, which in turn takes several snapshots of various online newspapers (including Birmingham News, of course), cuts them off (using GraphicCoverter), then launches the PhotoPresenter slideshow program, which shows .
