• in 25% of cases, the number of installations of malware detection (malware detection) increased;

• in 24% of cases, organizations began to use protection for end devices (endpoint security) more often;

Three quarters of cybersecurity IT solutions developers believe they can prevent attacks on their internal network. 82% believe that this industry is progressing significantly in recent times. Previously, only 44% agreed with this.

However, 36% of respondents believe that their networks were infected in the last 12 months, or they are infected now. 46% indicate that their company has been the victim of a ransomware attack over the past two years.

95% of surveyed companies have a cyber attack plan. But only 45% discuss it and regularly conduct "exercises" with the participation of all employees.

68% of respondents believe the main problem is the loss of customer data as a result of a cyber attack. 57% of respondents store data in the cloud, but are not sure that the provider will be able to protect them from intruders.

According to the “scale of the tragedy” cyber attack, the respondents were as follows:

• DDoS - 19%
• Phishing - 14%
• Cyber torture - 13%
• Capture and use of privileged accounts - 12%
• External attacks, perimeter breaches integrity (perimeter breaches) - 12%

However, a previous Varonis study shows that only 39% of employees believe that all the necessary safety measures have been taken. In 2014, this opinion was supported by 56%. Researchers surveyed 3,000 employees of IT companies in the US and Europe.

According to a Ponemon Institute study, 61% of IT professionals believe that protecting against cyber attacks is a high priority task. Among ordinary users, this opinion is shared by only 38%.

The founder and director of the Ponemon Institute, Dr. Larry Ponemon, believes that because of this attitude of ordinary users, the task of protecting information is more complicated.
