The origins of social networks - the theory of six links
This morning I remembered the so-called. the theory of six links. That time came to see where she came to our world. In 1929, the Hungarian author Frigyes Carinti published a series of short stories “Everything is different”. One of these stories was called "Chain" or "Chain Links" and described in abstract terms many of the problems that will fascinate future generations of mathematicians, sociologists, and physicists in the field of network theory (and they are still fascinating to this day). In particular, Karinti believed that the modern world is "decreasing" due to the growth of "connectedness" of people.
