A year ago, the first non-classical conference on the latest technologies MIXAR2015 was held, which gathered in one day a record number of visitors in the field of augmented and virtual reality, as well as developers, start-ups, established companies and business guests. Microsoft is the general partner of this conference. Throughout the day, lectures and panel discussions were held in lecture halls devoted to art, science and business with the participation of Russian and foreign market representatives and related industries, as well as leaders and evangelists of well-known world companies.

Throughout the year, after the organizers of MIXAR2015, a series of ecosystem mitaps was held, bringing together experts from the fields of architecture, the venture industry, and other areas. The events were held in the same relaxed and friendly atmosphere, gathering the best representatives of the market and novice developers, as well as customers and investors. In addition, during the same year, a series of workshops on ARVR development from the VAMR Academy was launched and conducted, designed for developers of different levels of knowledge. The goal of all events is to raise awareness and promote technologies related to virtual and augmented reality.

Also, with the general partnership of Microsoft and Skolkovo, as well as the organizers of MIXAR, the first hackathon on virtual reality in Russia was held, gathering about 40 teams. More than 30 teams reached the finals, some of them have already received investments for the development of their own products, designed on the hackathon.
