Users ask for "regular" Mac

If we look at the current matrix of Apple computer models, then for many it becomes obvious - there are still empty cells in it. And we are talking not only about such a specific product as a subnotebook, but about a “regular” desktop Mac. The best thing about this in an open letter to Steve Jobs was written by Michael Frager.

“I have been an Apple user and professional programmer for a long time. He also studied his business on Apple IIs, and then owned machines such as LC, LC II, PowerMac 6100, 7200, iBook G3, PowerBook G4 12 and Mac mini G4, so let me share my thoughts on what’s missing from The current line of poppies.

NORMAL POPPY! Without a monitor, but with a full-size PCI-Express 16x slot!
')
Price range: 600-1200 dollars. Two cores, 1GB of memory. Nothing supernatural!

I was hoping that Mac mini would be such a product, but it is not very extensive (and there is no video card at all). I work on two monitors, but Mac Pro won't draw either my own budget or my company's budget. I want to work on a Mac, but instead I use HP under openSUSE and connect to Mac mini via VNC.

I love Apple! I want its market share to expand! She needs something that could compete on equal terms with Dell, HP and Lenovo. It is not necessary for this computer to have a fantastic design, but it will scatter from the store shelves even if its cost can be $ 100-200 more expensive than a similar Windows PC.

This car will be attractive for many market segments:

* Technofiles wishing to have stock to expand.
* Businessmen who do not want to spend more than 2 thousand dollars for two monitors.
* Home users to replace Windows desktop systems.

I think iMac might be good for schools, but not for the wide market. I have seen too many people buying plain gray boxes. Now it's time for Apple to create one of them, but that would be worth the money ... "
