Google will pay for news
France-Presse (AFP), a global news agency, will allow Google, the leader in Internet search, to use content from AFP journalists.

Erik Scherer, AFP's strategic planning and long-term relationship director, said the service was useful because “the work of our journalists and photographers will be recognized,” he commented.
Google representatives said the deal "will allow AFP news content to be used in a new way, which will greatly improve the users' perception of news content on the Internet."
