
We invite you to take part in the 48-hour team competition aimed at building a “smart system” of log analysis and cluster metrics processing data. Hackathon Hydrosphere.io will be held September 9-11 in Innopolis, participation is free. All the details under the cut.
The main goal of the hackathon teams is to solve the problem of proactive monitoring of metrics and log analysis, which are created as a result of the big data cluster processing.

What should you work on?
As part of the hackathon, we suggest focusing on building services, applications, or tools that use or complement Hydrosphere.io products.
Ideas of similar services from the organizing team:
- ETL (extract-tranform-load) process visual designer on top of Mist;
- Visual designer UI applications on top of Mist;
- Intelligent monitoring service of a cluster analyzing big data;
- The service of intellectual analysis of cluster logs analyzing big data;
- Analytical service for a specific subject area. For example, image recognition service.
You can push off from one of the ideas of the Hydrosphere.io team or come up with a completely new project.
What is the main task to solve?
The task for 48 hours is to go from the idea to the minimum finished product.
Throughout the hackathon, the core team of Provectus will be available for any consultation: from validating your ideas to helping them implement them.
What knowledge is required?
The required knowledge and experience depends on the project that you will build. In general, the technology stack looks like this:
- Infrastructure level - AWS, Mesos, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible;
- Service Level - Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, InfluxDB, Elasticsearch;
- Application level - any web framework at your discretion.
