Swamping

There are two approaches to work. The first is to take all orders in a row (emphasis on quantity). The second is to take only “good orders” (emphasis on quality).

In practice, it turns out that there are far more customers who absolutely no matter how good the site will be - if only it worked - and who are willing to pay 200-300 bucks than customers who understand what quality is and are ready to pay for it 2-3 thousand bucks.

If we evaluate the profit, then there is no difference - to do 10 undersight sites per month or 1 good. But the first option is psychologically closer to many people. I am not a psychologist and I cannot say why this is happening - maybe people are afraid to remain without orders at all, maybe the whole thing is banal greed, or maybe just the inability to do well.

Further the vicious circle turns out. Making sites for 200 bucks is impossible to rise above. Firstly, because there is not enough time and skill. Secondly, because an understanding customer (who pays for quality) will not turn to such people. And they will do all their life "budget sites". Yes, there will be many, I do not argue. Yes, the vast majority of such customers. Yes, this can even make good money. And always stay at the bottom of development.

To achieve something, you need to do well. And even better, every day. Only good orders can ensure development. And, of course, adequate wages. Therefore, if I have a choice - to make 10 undersites for 200 bucks or one good for a thousand - I will do one, but I will make it even better than the customer wanted. Because this is the second condition for development - to do more than is required of you.

I believe that every person is talented. And everyone can achieve a lot. Three things can interfere - laziness, work not in one's own sphere and “bogging down in a swamp” - this is what I call what I wrote about above.

Yes, only general reasoning, but, I think, is it justified in a personal blog? :)
