Alexander Blokhin - Pro MarketingInspired by the previous research (see “
Statistics on Western Social Networks ”), I decided to see what people are on Vkontakte.Ru website and provide it to you, dear readers, in the form of tables.
Here, what data is provided to us by the social network VKontakte.Ru (quoted from the site):
On average, each user views 150-180 pages every day.
- Daily resource visits from 4 million people or more (LiveInternet).
- About 80% of visitors live in Russia.
- 41% of visitors are from Moscow, 26% are from St. Petersburg (LiveInternet).
- 18% of visitors are under 19 years old, 28% are from 19 to 25 years old, 11% are from 25 to 35 years old.
And one more thing that is not related to this post, but also interesting:
VKontakte.Ru is:
- Internet resource No. 1 in Russia (Alexa) and No. 1 in Ukraine (Alexa), the most visited social network in Russia (TNS Gallup).
- 500-600 million pages open daily (LiveInternet).
- The largest photo hosting site in the CIS: more than 2.3 million photos are uploaded daily.
- The largest video hosting in the CIS: more than 400 thousand new video files daily.
- The largest audio hosting service in the CIS: more than 300 thousand new audio recordings daily.
- The most popular form of communication in the CIS: more than 20 million messages are sent daily.
- As of May 2008, about 13 million users are registered on the site.
So, the statistics for August 1, 2008.
FloorI already wrote about the user field earlier (see “
Statistics on Western Social Networks ”), but I repeat. On the website VKontakte.Ru the ratio of users by sex is about the same:

')
AgeOnly 9,557,103 users out of 15,510,070 have age, that is, only 61.6%. Most users aged 20 years. Further, almost evenly in both directions (in the direction of increasing age and decreasing), the number of users decreases:

The ratio of users who indicated their age (the truthfulness of the information was not checked):

A slight increase in the number of users is observed at the age of 63 years, 66 and 67 years. The fact is that at the moment, this corresponds to the following years of birth: 1945, 1942 and 1941. It is nice that in the year of victory "was born" almost one and a half times more than on the day the war began.
GeographyThere is an opinion that there are more users from St. Petersburg than from Moscow. This is easily refuted (even in the official statistics, that given above is written):

Users from Moscow and St. Petersburg account for 30.1% of all site users. The site has the following distribution in the millionaire cities of Russia and major cities of Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan:

Another city is listed by 56.9% of users.
Another quote:
According to TNS Gallup, per month “VKontakte” is visited by 9444.7 thousand people aged 12 to 54 years. The daily audience is 4243.3 thousand people. On average in Russia, one user views 177 pages per day.
At the end of this post I invite you to take part in a short survey:
