Improving the reliability of virtual machines in Microsoft Azure

For the big July update , I almost missed another important news on Microsoft Azure.

A recent announcement says that improvements in the mechanisms of virtualization host patching and the use of in-place migration have reduced the downtime of single virtual machines.
If you are on-the-fly, you can preserve.

For those who are already using the Microsoft cloud service, it is no secret that SLA at 99.95% is guaranteed only for virtual machines integrated in the Availability Set . Single virtual machines do not have such guarantees and you, at times, may find that your server has rebooted due to work on the host.

Since I often have to celebrate this awkward moment for customers thinking about using Azure, I am pleased that Microsoft continues to work on this. Encouraging also the intention to continue to improve the reliability of single virtual machines.
If you’re not in trouble, you’ll be able to keep track of your system.

The logical next step would be to migrate the machines, not only during scheduled work, but also in case of problems on the host.

I, still, will wait for the news about the introduction of SLA for single virtual machines in Microsoft Azure.
