Despite Google’s efforts to increase Android’s security through regular (monthly) security updates, not all smartphone manufacturers are ready to meet their users in maintaining the current status of their smartphone firmware. Earlier, we wrote that besides Google, Samsung also
promised users to regularly update Android. At the very least, we are talking about updating Android on flagship smartphone models.

In contrast to Samsung, the well-known American company Motorola refused to fix vulnerabilities monthly in its Android firmware versions. According to
the publication Ars Technica, the company refused to update Android on its modern devices, in particular, Moto Z and Moto G4 because of the “complexity of this process”. At the same time, the company claims that it will update its firmware, but may not do it as often as Google.
