Joker 2016 Release Notes: 100 technical sessions in 2 days
On October 14 and 15, a Joker 2016 Java conference will take place in St. Petersburg. It is already clear that the conference will change notably: not only in scale and form, but also in content.

What is important in the conference? Right, reports. And it is with them that our new challenge is connected, which, perhaps, will eclipse all the past: this time we will hold 50 thematic, purely technical sessions per day .
The plan is as follows:
Traditionally, keynote-reports will be less hardcore, “general educational” and not all slots are closed - write who would you like to see as Joker keynoters. A great example of such a report from the past Joker: Maxim Dorofeev - The power of the first step or the session of group deprocractification;
Since 2013, Joker has kept the general line, which could be described in four words "Only Java, only hardcore": the guts of the JVM and Stream API, micro-optimization and benchmarking, up to "highload distributed systems performance" - all that happened.
However, the conference is growing up, and more and more often the participants ask us where the reports and case studies from the developer’s real life are. This is not about routine or banality, but rather about solutions that can be immediately adopted and used after returning to the office after the conference. That is why the list of topics on Joker 2016 has expanded and been supplemented with several blocks, namely:

As you can see, neither Java nor hardcore will become less, just now, choosing which track to go on, you can choose not between “hardcore, hardcore and hardcore”, but between “hellish hardcore, DevOps hardcore and“ bloody ”enterprise.

Well, on Joker, all the conditions have been created for this: in long breaks, specially trained volunteers will lead the speaker into the allocated space with an illustration board, sitting places and the opportunity to grab a cup of coffee. Now not a single question will drown in timing.
The experience of holding a JPoint party gave us not only a lot of positive emotions, but also a clear understanding of what a “thousand Javista's party” should be: we need a fan and, of course, programming.
That is why in the evening of October 14, conference participants will be able to go and hang out to the sound of the live code on Sonic Pi from DJ Sam Aaron, the speaker of many conferences, including TEDx.
If you were at Joker last year, then surely remember that the conference venue with a vengeance demonstrated its "non-rubber", many participants complained about the crowds and the crowd.
This year everything will be different. Places will be much more. The conference will be held at the largest exhibition center in St. Petersburg and will stretch over 4000 sq. M. Impressive?
