Micron introduced incredibly fast SSD

Intel 's most famous partner in the production of solid-state drives, Micron , presented an update of its SSD line called RealSSD . Based on slower (and cheaper) MLC NAND technologies, new 2.5 "(up to 256GB) drives for laptops and 1.8" (from 32GB to 128GB) drives for ultra-portable devices support a three-gigabit SATA interface and promise speeds of 250mb / s for reading and 100 mb / s for writing, which is certainly faster than 90/70 mb / s (read / write), which are claimed in Samsung’s latest consumer SSD. It is even partly faster than the top Samsung SSD (256GB, 200/160 mb / s). Unfortunately, the prices of these devices are still unknown, but they promise to be “good in terms of price / quality ratio”. It is planned that these devices will appear in the 4th quarter under such well-known brands like Lexar, Intel, Crucial and Seagate.
