Do you believe your provider?

The Electronic Frontier Foundation has released an alpha version of the Switzerland utility, designed to test the network neutrality of Internet providers.

The utility checks the integrity of the IP stream of data transmitted through the network, and signals the violation of the integrity of the packets.
With the release of this utility, the EFF confirms its tough stance regarding the providers' compliance with the principles of network neutrality.
According to Fred Lochmann, EFF's senior adviser on intellectual property rights, the EFF is not in a position to detect all cases of modification by providers of data streams going through their networks, but is able to provide users with a tool to identify these actions.

The Switzerland utility allows you to detect cases of the implementation of advertising banners, censorship systems, and much more. The utility uses P2P similar architecture, which allows Switzerland-based clients to exchange information with each other and with the central server. The collected data is automatically analyzed, eliminating the manual processing.

Switzerland is released under the GPL license.
