Strange letters of the Russian alphabet

Cyril and Methodius was not easy. They created the Russian alphabet based on the Greek alphabet and to designate sounds that were not in Greek, they had to invent new letters. Some of them turned out to be strange.

Since then, the alphabet has gone through numerous reforms, some letters have disappeared forever, but some of Cyril and Methodius’s inventions have survived to this day.
