"

On July 22 and 23, on Friday and Saturday, in the Steel hackspace in Moscow, a hackathon will be held as part of a competition for web developers, journalists and infographic specialists “ BudgetApps-2016 ”. For those who plan to participate in the competition, this is the last chance to discuss their projects with experts and mentors.

The hackathon participants will be able to develop mobile applications, web services or media projects, infographics based on open government data, get expert advice on how to translate their ideas and improve existing projects.

Hackathon is the final stage of preparation for the contest “BudgetApps-2016”. For the second year in a row, the competition has been organized by ANO Infoculture with the support of the RF Ministry of Finance. The prize fund of the competition is 500 thousand rubles. Its goal is to support commercial and public initiatives in the use of open public data.

Hackathon is a special event format that originated among programmers. It involves the development of the project from idea to implementation in the shortest possible time in real time. For two days, teams of participants will work on their developments, receiving the necessary support from experienced experts in open data, web services, mobile application development, data visualization and data journalism. In the hackathon final, on the second day, the participants present their projects, receive feedback from the jury and other teams. A mandatory attribute of the hackathon is an informal atmosphere that promotes creativity and develops the professional community.

This time, the hackathon will be held on a unique platform - in the Steel hackspace, designed specifically for the work of technology start-ups. The work of the teams will be held on the second floor, on the platform, which is located on the roof of the building, under the open sky (there are comfortable tents for shelter from the rain). It has everything you need for round-the-clock development of projects: the Internet, a comfortable and creative room, even a shower and sleeping places.
