Sand has always been considered the personification of fragility, something quickly passing, unreliable. Recall the expression "build sand castles", "time flows like sand through your fingers." And whether it will be empty to build sand castles ... oh, excuse me, sculptures. Yes, periodically people are engaged in this, and professionally. And others watch and enjoy. Even from such a short-lived material as sand, you can make a real work of art. True, it will please us in a relatively short time (although everything in our world is relatively), but it will remain in our memory (and in the memory of our cameras). And you need to have time to enjoy the spectacle, while the rains have not destroyed this, and I will not be afraid of this word - beauty. And so, in Moscow there is a festival of sand sculptures, which I visited.

This, of course, only part of the sculptures. Or there are more photos on the official festival website. In general, this is not just an exhibition, but the whole show, which is led by a rather colorful character - Joni. I would even call him a DJ. He leads contests and announces winners. Having caught Joni in the break between the contests, I talked to him a bit. “We constantly have contests in which everyone can take part,” says Joni. - "we give children a try to create sand sculptures, and both children and adults can take part in the photo competition. At the weekend around 12-13 hours we have a master class of sand and ice sculptures, where you can see , a block of ice turns into one of the fabulous heroes. At the same time, children can even help a sculptor. And we also do charity work. And after the festival ends, we will have a charity auction called “destroyer”, where we will sell sandy sculptures, and to drank can do with your purchase whatever he wants. The money from the auction will be transferred to children's homes. "
