Classes will begin on August 15 and will last exactly one week. To participate in the school are invited students with a level of education not lower than undergraduate or students of 3-4 courses of technical universities. All the details under the cut

Computing platforms are showing unceasing growth. The main success we see in industrial robotics and mechatronics. However, the lag in the technologies of artificial intelligence and the component - computer vision for understanding scenes and image analysis is still a deterrent to further development.

“Intellectualization is an exact term reflecting the development of modern complex control systems. This is the desire of technology to achieve full functional similarity with human capabilities. The main indicator of this progress is the development of machine vision technologies, ”said Yaroslav Kholodov, Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Transport Systems at Innopolis University.

Robotics use a model approach that reduces the tasks of machine vision to the problem of detecting and recognizing objects according to a predetermined description. The solution of the problem of automatic selection of complex objects opens up a huge number of potential applications in front of “machine vision” systems. These solutions are in demand in industrial quality control systems, robotics, navigation, transportation, remote sensing, medicine, biomechanics, engineering work, design automation, document processing technologies and other areas.

During the Summer School, organized jointly with the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, students will attend lectures, practical classes, special seminars and work on team projects. At the end of the school held a competition of the best works.

To participate in the school are invited students with a level of education not lower than bachelors or students of 3-4 courses of technical universities with mechanical and mathematical, physical and faculties of applied mathematics. Knowledge of C / C ++ and Phyton programming languages is recommended.

The selection of candidates for participation in the Summer School is carried out on the basis of a questionnaire and a motivational letter in arbitrary form, which is considered by the organizing committee of the event. The questionnaire is available here .

Send applications by e-mail: info@crec.mipt.ru until July 15, in the subject line write the text: "Application for participation in the Summer School."
The organizers will announce the final list of participants no later than August 1.
