It so happened that over the past week I have watched a rather large number of speeches at various large and not so many conferences. And they often talked about very important,
in theory , things: productivity, accessibility, progressive improvement.
But, judging by my experience and feelings, in practice no one does this, except for the largest companies. For example, the
podcast of Web Standards confirms these feelings: when discussing some technologies or practices, the words β
we do not use it at all β constantly sound, β
only if the customer kicks β.
I would like to check whether this is so by conducting a small survey. I think the results will be interesting to many, I invite you to discuss questions, answers and in general this topic in general in the comments.
PS I use the term "
standards " quite freely in the survey. It is clear that for some things there are no standards, but I donβt see any reason to invent an alternative name.
