Operations Director at Canopus Innovative Technologies and management analyst Vitaly Lobanov gave an overview of global trends affecting either the fintech companies themselves or the clients of the fintech companies involved in the payment business.
How the work was done
Previously, the analysis of the macro-environment usually included an analysis of the factors of PEST (politics, economics, social, technology), but in recent years it has become obvious that there are at least more globalization and digitalization factors in the world that should now be considered.
Continuing this thought, I came to the conclusion that it is necessary to reckon with any existing trends that have a direct or indirect impact on the company or its customers (we work in B2B, and initially infographics were made just as part of the strategic analysis / analysis of the macro environment for my companies).
')
Starting to remember and reflect, and also to study the Internet, I identified a much larger number of relevant trends (as well as NOT relevant trends, which I did NOT include in the document).

In the course of work:
1. I saw that relationships can be distinguished between trends.
The usual line is a simple connection, or mutual influence, or it is “different sides of the same coin”;
The solid arrow is the effect of one trend on another;
A broken arrow labeled << enable >> indicates a sub-trend;
An intermittent unsigned arrow means weak influence.
2. Since there were a lot of trends, I divided them into 6 groups.
3. For convenience of reading, I changed the color of some trends (it is easier to cling to certain areas in the scheme), the logic of coloring in this case is the trends that were determined by me personally and not found on the Internet.
What for?
The scheme may lead the reader, analyzing the strategic positions of his fintech company, to open new niches or complete transition into them, to search for new partners, new synergies, to the fact that it is time to change certain internal business processes - and so on.
