Amazon.com opens its payment system

The largest online store Amazon.com has joined the list of companies that promote their own payment systems. Yesterday, the site opened two new services: Checkout By Amazon and Amazon Simple Pay . Both offers are aligned with other proprietary systems, such as eBay PayPal and Google Checkout. All of them are trying to go beyond the borders of "native" sites and attract independent online stores to their side.

Checkout By Amazon
A universal payment service system, similar to the one that has always been used on Amazon.com. It supports one-click proprietary transaction technology, calculates in real time and allows you to immediately take into account delivery costs, sales tax, promotional costs, refunds, etc.

When buying online independent online stores, customers can enter their Amazon profile page, while online stores themselves do not get access to this information.

Amazon Simple Pay
A simpler system, it also supports access to an Amazon account and making payments, but does not have such wide functionality.

The structure of commission payments for two products is the same. For micropayments, the commission is 5% plus $ 0.05. For transactions from $ 10 and higher, online stores pay 2.9% of the transaction amount plus $ 0.30. The commission is reduced if the store reaches a certain monthly volume of payments.
