Maybe I missed something, then I’ll sprinkle ashes on my head and delete this post, but the last announcement regarding user rights was published on Habré on March 21 and it said about the Read & Comment functions (the ability to write comments with subsequent moderation from the author) .
About any other changes in the registration system and access to Habr nothing was reported.
Meanwhile, some new accounts seem to be free to comment on posts without moderation of comments.

In recent days, I began to notice that users appeared in the comments, who were not invited by either UFOs or any of the users. And the registration date is the last couple of days. Strange, I thought, for they comment actively, and the comments are sometimes such that if they were pre-moderated, they would hardly have passed it.

First one, then the second ... And these accounts did not have the magic “Read only” in the profile. If a person left at least one approved comment, then such an inscription is removed, but still there are too many such users in recent days ...

Then I went to a terrible step and asked to register a friend. I apologize in advance if I violated any rules for using the resource, but curiosity outweighed.
The result was this urlik_the_test , which also has no status Read only.
Moreover, I went into one of my old publications and left a comment there. He appeared without any pre-moderation.



At the same time, old accounts registered relatively long ago cannot write comments - in my recent publication I threw out a bunch of comments for pre-moderation.

Perhaps the fact that the registration was made on the mail associated with the VC-account, which in turn is associated with a full account on Habré?
Either I missed something else. In general, habradminy, do not order to execute, tell to tell, in what business.

What is it? Bug or feature?
